It Is That Time of Year Again...

One of my good buddies from Minnesota told me that the best time of year for him is the fall - right when it starts to get cold. No matter what mood he is in, he always seems to find a girlfriend after the leaves begin to fall and before the first snow. It seems that he is not the only one to experience this phenomenon. Many of my friends in Atlanta, New York, and the Upper Midwest are finding that autumn romance - hoping to keep it alive through the cold winter months.

Spring was always the better season for me - my spirits awakened after the long winter, and I was preparing for a summer of parties, vacations, and enjoying life and three-day weekends all season long. I would manage to keep my better romantic relationships together until right up to my birthday - then I would either move, lose interest, or some random college party that my friends invited me to would cause me to just let that relationship go.

This autumn is no different - I will be in Madison for Halloween. College girls running around fraternity houses, drunken locals smashing into bars, drunken Minnesotans trashing their host city - I can't wait!!!
